Property Accounts Manager

The role: Oversee all aspects of required property accounting and services to high standards of execution and delivery. Provide financial support to senior property, building management and corporate finance on all aspects of property/estates accounting in relation to tenants, clients, and service providers. Oversee and mentor one member of the accounts team.
Duties: Ensure proper operation of property accounting systems and databases. Manage planning, creation, collaboration and communication of rolling timetables for all aspects of property accounting. Oversee billing, receipting and reporting of rents, service charges and other charges and reporting and management of tenant arrears & credit control process. Manage all aspects of planning, budgeting, accounting and reporting for service charges and other recoverables. Ensure appropriate team cover at all times and delegate as appropriate. Focus on improvements in efficiency, value and quality of property accounting services and reporting. Ensure timely, accurate and consistent delivery of all contracted or required property estates accounting services to a high standard. Oversee property estates systems and databases include detailed knowledge of set up and processes, including residential systems. Manage and oversee billing and receipting of contracted tenant charges & credit control Oversee property estates treasury management and funding requirements. Lead on service charge budgeting, reporting and reconciliation including energy costs and recovery, explanation of variances and assisting with commentaries and tenant communications Manage non-recoverable property estates costs budgeting, reporting and explanation of Manage turnover data collection, calculations, and billing. Oversight and review of property management purchase orders, supplier balances, and proposed payments of suppliers. Lead accounting role in managing annual property and asset insurances. Lead accounting role in maintaining up to date and accurate property accounting risk registers. Working with corporate accountants on VAT, banking, financial processes and controls and periodic reporting. Act as 1st signatory on estates bank transfers and payments
Requirements: Extensive and relevant commercial property estates accounting experience – at least 5 years. Proven record as a Manager ‘A’ level standard education – numerate, with good written and spoken communication skills. Advanced knowledge of RICS rules and audit processes. Ideally extensive knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook; extensive knowledge of multiple property accounting systems Why should you work for this company?
