The position:
As part of its business development, Orlade is looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to support its clients in the economic management of complex industrial projects.
You will work within project teams to build, ensure the reliability of, and manage costs, from the study phases through to realization.
Your missions:
Develop and consolidate initial budgets and estimates at completion;
Implement cost breakdown structures: CBS, WBS, and analytical codification;
Monitor committed, actual, forecast, and remaining costs to be committed;
Analyze variances between budget, expenditure, and physical progress;
Produce cash flow forecasts and periodic reporting;
Calculate and monitor cost performance indicators;
Evaluate the financial impact of project modifications, risks, and deviations;
Challenge data reported by project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors;
Prepare the analyses and recommendations necessary for project management decisions;
Contribute to the improvement of Cost Control methods and tools.
Profile sought:
You have at least eight years of experience as a Cost Engineer, Cost Controller, or Cost Manager on large-scale industrial projects.
You master budget construction, cost control, forecasts, variance analysis, and estimate at completion. You are also capable of reconciling the physical progress of the project with its financial performance.
Experience in one or more of the following sectors would be particularly appreciated:
Energy;
Nuclear;
Pharmaceutical industry;
Defense;
Aeronautics and space;
Mobility and transport;
Infrastructure and data centers;
Engineering and industrial construction.
You have an advanced level of Excel. Knowledge of tools such as Primavera P6, SAP, Power BI, EcoSys, or Cleopatra is an asset.
A fluent level of English is essential to operate in international environments and communicate with various stakeholders.
Your rigor, analytical capacity, ability to synthesize information, and aptitude for communicating with technical, financial, and contractual teams will be decisive.
