Tender Engineer
Manage the end-to-end tendering process for assigned materials, services, equipment, and projects.
Review tender requirements, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and technical documents to ensure a clear understanding of the scope.
Prepare and issue RFQs / Tender Invitations to qualified suppliers and contractors.
Source and communicate with suppliers to obtain competitive technical and commercial quotations.
Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of received offers and prepare comparative statements.
Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Finance, and other concerned departments to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
Analyze quotations, prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
Ensure suppliers' offers comply with the required technical specifications and tender requirements.
Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.
Prepare tender evaluation reports and submit recommendations for management approval.
Maintain accurate records of tenders, quotations, evaluations, negotiations, and supplier communications.
Follow up on tender status, approvals, purchase orders, and delivery timelines when required.
Monitor market prices and supplier capabilities to support effective sourcing decisions.
Ensure all tendering activities comply with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Develop and maintain a reliable database of qualified suppliers and contractors.
Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities throughout the tendering process.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
1–3 years of experience in Tendering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or a related role.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of tendering, RFQs, quotation analysis, and supplier evaluation.
Good knowledge of technical and commercial comparison processes.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
ERP/SAP experience is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Good command of English , written and spoken.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
