Principal Consultant

Job Summary

Lead the deployment, scaling, and management of cloud-based business-critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise infrastructure, ensure security compliance, and drive operational excellence in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment, scaling, containerization, and lifecycle management of business-critical software applications across cloud platforms
• Optimise cloud resource utilisation, CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring, and disaster recovery in collaboration with DevOps and infrastructure teams
• Lead and mentor technical teams in software support, system integration, and application infrastructure operations to enhance performance and reliability
• Partner with business and engineering units to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring smooth API and microservices integrations
• Manage incident response and change management protocols to maintain operational stability and compliance
• Enforce data governance, security frameworks, and compliance standards for all cloud-hosted applications

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software application management, infrastructure operations, or DevOps-centric engineering environments
• Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and infrastructure orchestration/containerization tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), CI/CD toolchains, system integrations (REST APIs, webhooks), and database management

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills demonstrated through managing software applications and infrastructure landscapes
