Structural Designer Underwater Shipbuilding AVEVA Marine (m/f/d) Naval Vessels

For activities in a renowned company in Hamburg, we are looking for a Structural Designer Underwater Shipbuilding (m/f/d) for naval vessels at the earliest possible date.

Your Tasks

• Creation of structural designs for naval vessels
• Processing and creation of steel and class plans
• Application and design of regulations such as DNV, construction regulations of the German Navy, and relevant DIN standards
• Performance of static and dynamic strength calculations (local and global) including FE analyses
• Checking and approval of construction documents
• Cooperation with classification societies and authorities
• Coordination with various departments on topics relevant to strength and coordination

Your Profile

• Completed studies as a Naval Architect (TU/FH Dipl.-Ing. or Master) with a focus on strength and design
• At least 2-4 years of professional experience as a calculation engineer in shipbuilding
• Shipbuilding-specific IT/CAD knowledge, especially Aveva Marine 2D, Poseidon, Nauticus, Hyperworks, Ansys, RFEM/RSTAB (desirable)
• Experience in project management
• Applicable knowledge of common MS-Office programs
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing
• Conceptual and analytical thinking skills
• High communication and teamwork skills
• Independent working style, initiative, and willingness to take responsibility
• Willingness to travel regularly between Emden, Kiel, and Hamburg
