Opus People Solutions are hiring for a Senior Corporate Compliance Officer within Peterborough City Council.

The role is 37 hours per week, offering hybrid working, with a contract length of 10 weeks initially. Please see a high-level overview of what the position involves below:

  • Managing and conducting investigations into suspected fraud, misconduct, irregularity and compliance issues affecting the Council
  • Undertaking a significant volume of Blue Badge misuse investigations
  • Gathering, reviewing and analysing evidence to support investigations
  • Conducting interviews and maintaining detailed case records
  • Preparing investigation reports and case files
  • Liaising with internal departments including HR, Legal Services, Parking Services and senior management
  • Supporting wider counter-fraud and compliance activities across the organisation

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Managing investigations from referral through to outcome
  • Evidence gathering, interviewing and case management
  • Writing clear and concise investigation reports
  • Working with multiple stakeholders and managing sensitive information
  • Fraud, compliance, enforcement, regulatory or similar investigations
  • Blue Badge investigations, counter-fraud investigations
  • Previous experience within Local Government
