About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Murex Front Office business analyst to support and enhance a capital markets trading environment in a global banking and financial services organization. The successful candidate will act as a key functional expert for Murex Front Office modules, partnering with traders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to deliver strategic initiatives, platform enhancements, and production support.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic trading environment, supporting multiple asset classes and contributing to the evolution of a mission-critical trading platform across the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Serve as the primary functional SME for Murex Front Office modules, working closely with traders and front-office users.
- Analyze business processes, gather requirements for new initiatives, and perform gap analysis to identify optimal Murex solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for configuration and development teams.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and operational needs.
Murex Configuration & Implementation
- Configure, test, and implement Murex Front Office functionalities, including trade capture, pricing, and market data management.
- Build and maintain e-Tradepad templates, pricing configurations, and trade booking workflows across multiple financial products.
- Design and implement pre-trade rules and workflows to support automation, control, and compliance requirements.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, and new product implementations.
Production Support & Incident Management
- Provide advanced functional support for trading, pricing, booking, and position-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve complex system discrepancies using Murex tools such as Simulation Viewer, e-Tradepad, and Datamart.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and enhance pre-trade rules as required.
- Manage production incidents and ensure timely resolution while maintaining platform stability.
Project Delivery & Change Management
- Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives, including Murex upgrades, new product rollouts, and regulatory change programs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across business and technology functions to support integration, migration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Provide effort estimates, delivery updates, and status reporting for project activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Front Office technology landscape.
Training & Documentation
- Develop and deliver user training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including configurations, workflows, requirements, and support procedures.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business users on best practices within the Murex platform.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with the Murex platform, including Front Office implementation, configuration, and support.
- Proven track record as a Murex Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Front Office Consultant within financial markets environments.
- Strong product knowledge across at least two asset classes, including: Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), Foreign Exchange (FX), and FX Derivatives (FXD), Equities, Commodities
Murex Expertise
Strong functional knowledge of the following Murex components:
- e-Tradepad
- Simulation Viewer
- Pre-Trade Workflow
- Market Data
- Datamart and reporting framework
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle, Sybase, or equivalent databases) for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of pricing, valuation, P&L, sensitivities (Greeks), risk management, and financial markets concepts.
- Exposure to scripting and automation tools such as Python, VBA, or Unix/Linux scripting is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Murex regulatory and risk modules, including FRTB, VaR (MRA/MRB), and xVA.
- Knowledge of Murex Flex API, integration frameworks, or related connectivity solutions.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery automation.
- Experience supporting front-office transformation, migration, or platform modernization initiatives.
