Senior Full Stack Developer (ReactJS + any backend languages)

Our client is a global technology company focused on building large-scale digital products and infrastructure. They are looking for an experienced Full Stack Programmer to join their automation team, developing scalable applications and workflows that help internal engineering teams streamline complex processes.

This is a 12-months contract role.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and integrate applications and automation solutions for internal engineering teams.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business problems and develop effective technical solutions.
• Develop scalable, high-quality backend and frontend applications across a range of technologies.
• Architect efficient systems and make informed decisions around databases, performance and scalability.
• Write clean, reliable and maintainable code, with strong focus on engineering excellence.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, monitoring and optimisation to improve software quality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve performance issues and technical debt.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from solution design through development and delivery.
• Work across different projects and technologies, with the ability to adapt to new technical areas.

Requirements

• 7 or more years of software development experience with experience building large-scale software or web systems.
• Strong backend development experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Python, Java, Go, PHP or Node.js. Python is preferred.
• Experience developing and shipping production-quality software, rather than primarily maintaining existing systems.
• Frontend development experience with ReactJS or NextJS is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to work across the frontend stack is important.
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and REST APIs.
• Good knowledge of databases and performance trade-offs.
• Experience leading technical projects or major engineering initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software testing, code quality, deployment, monitoring and reliability.
