Digital Workplace Engineer (SharePoint & Power Platform)
Key Responsibilities Support the assessment and migration of sites, documents,metadata, permissions and workflows from SG-DCS, SharePoint 2013 and other legacy environments to SharePoint Online. Use migration tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Manager to run migration jobs, review results, correct errors and validate migrated content. Configure and maintain SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, views, navigation and permissions. Build and enhance Power Apps and Power Automate workflows for straight forward business processes and productivity needs. Develop or modify lightweight SharePoint components and integrations using SPFx, JavaScript or TypeScript where required. Assist with discovery workshops, content inventories,migration mapping, testing, cutover preparation and post-migration support. Troubleshoot migration, access, workflow and application issues, escalating complex problems when necessary. Prepare clear technical documentation, test scripts, user guides and migration status updates. Work directly with users to validate migrated content, gather feedback and make iterative improvements. Learn and apply relevant Microsoft 365, Power Platform and development practices with guidance from more experienced team members. Required Skills and Experience 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing or supporting SharePoint, Microsoft 365 or Power Platform solutions. Practical experience with SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, permissions and basic administration. Some hands-on exposure to SharePoint migration, including content assessment, migration execution, validation or issue remediation. Experience with ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Manager or a similar migration tool is preferred; candidates with relevant migration fundamentals and a willingness to learn may also be considered. Hands-on experience building or maintaining Power Apps and Power Automate workflows. Basic development skills in JavaScript or TypeScript;exposure to SPFx, React, Microsoft Graph or REST APIs is useful but not mandatory across all areas. Ability to troubleshoot systematically, test changes carefully and produce clear technical and user documentation.
