Furniture Maker

Responsibilities:

Carry out carpentry and furniture-making tasks according to production specifications. Participate in the production and assembly of internal doors and related components. Interpret measurements, drawings, designs, and production instructions. Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficiently. Ensure accurate alignment, dimensions, joints, and finishing of completed work. Identify and correct defects or imperfections in fabricated components. Minimise material wastage through accurate measurement and efficient material utilisation. Maintain woodworking tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition. Work closely with other production personnel to meet daily production targets.

Requirements:

Vocational or Technical training in carpentry, furniture making, or a related field is compulsory, with a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience. Ability to work with various woodworking tools and machinery. Ability to read and work from measurements, drawings, and production specifications. Strong understanding of woodwork, joints, fitting, sanding, and finishing. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively within a production team. Ability to meet production schedules and deadlines.
