*Job Overview - Small Engine Technician*
We are seeking a Small Engine Technician to join our team. This role involves servicing Walk Behind Mowers, Garden Tractors, Generators, Pressure Washers and other small 2-stroke equipment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of small-scale engine components and diagnostic logic. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment in which you would be driving our van and going to our customer homes to service their small engine equipment.
*Diagnose and Test:* Inspect equipment and run diagnostic tests using hand tools, gauges, and electronic devices to find mechanical or electrical faults.
*Repair and Overhaul:* Repair or replace defective parts (such as pistons, carburetors, valves, and gears), and reassemble components.
*Routine Maintenance:* Perform scheduled tune-ups, oil changes, spark plug replacements, and lubrication.
*Customer Service:* Consult with customers regarding equipment problems, provide repair cost estimates, and explain completed work.
*Record Keeping:* Log time spent, parts used, and maintenance records for shop accountability.
*Dexterity:* Steady hand-eye coordination for precision work with small parts and hand tools.
*Education:* Typically requires a high school diploma followed by on-the-job training or a vocational certificate.
*Physical Stamina:* Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and bend or kneel.
Must have a clean driving record.
