Your tasks
Role Description The Video Editor role at Oneclick Africa is a full-time, on-site position based in Lekki. The Video Editor will edit news clips, features, and social media videos, ensuring clear storytelling and consistent brand style. Daily tasks include assembling raw footage, synchronizing audio, applying transitions and effects, and optimizing videos for different platforms. The role also involves collaborating with content producers to interpret scripts, adding motion graphics and basic visual elements, and performing color correction to maintain visual quality. The Video Editor will manage file organization, adhere to deadlines, and support the continuous improvement of video standards across the platform.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for news and digital content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent and high-quality visuals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for titles, lower thirds, and visual enhancements.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Ability to work on-site in Lekki, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and understanding of social media video formats.
- Previous experience in news, media, or digital publishing is an advantage.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional video editing experience
