Job Summary
At One World International School (OWIS), you will join a diverse and inclusive community as a passionate educator delivering the IB Primary Years Programme, Cambridge International, and IB Diploma curricula. You will design and implement differentiated lessons that foster student growth and leadership, contributing to a dynamic learning environment that prepares students to be future innovators.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across Secondary, IGCSE, and IB Diploma curricula that build knowledge, skills, and critical thinking aligned with school guidelines
- Design and prepare differentiated learning plans and assessments that address individual student needs and promote inquiry-based learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement tailored learning engagements and assessment opportunities that enhance student understanding and progress
- Assess and monitor student performance regularly, set measurable goals for improvement, and communicate progress through detailed reports and parent meetings
- Lead or actively participate in extracurricular activities, school events, assemblies, staff training sessions, and meetings to enrich the school community
- Promote and uphold the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students in accordance with school policies
- Foster the attributes and attitudes of the IB Learner Profile and embody the school’s core values in all teaching and interactions
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher
- Bachelor’s degree and a professional teaching qualification such as PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma, Valid Teacher Licence, or QTS
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- ICT literacy to support teaching and learning activities
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience teaching Secondary, IGCSE, and IB curricula
- Experience working in an international school environment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver student-centred, inquiry-based learning approaches
- Candidates with additional years of experience may be considered for higher positions
- Availability to start immediately is preferred
