Job Summary At One World International School (OWIS), you will teach and educate students across Secondary and IB Diploma levels, delivering differentiated, inquiry-based learning that supports diverse learner needs and promotes the IB Learner Profile and school values. Responsibilities Design, prepare, and deliver Economics lessons for Secondary and IB Diploma students that enhance learner understanding and engagement through inquiry-based methods Collaborate with colleagues to develop differentiated lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments tailored to individual student needs and learning styles Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative evaluations, set measurable improvement goals, and communicate outcomes effectively to students and parents through detailed reports and meetings Promote and model the attributes and attitudes of the IB Learner Profile and consistently uphold the school’s core values in all teaching and interactions Lead or actively participate in extracurricular activities, school events, assemblies, staff training sessions, and meetings to foster a vibrant school community Implement and adhere to school policies and best practices to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students Teach across the full Secondary age range, including IGCSE and IB Diploma curricula, adapting instructional approaches to meet diverse cultural backgrounds and learning needs Required competencies and certifications Minimum two (2) years of relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher Bachelor’s degree and a Professional Degree in Teaching or equivalent teaching qualification certificates (PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma), Valid Teacher License, or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Strong knowledge and proven experience teaching Economics at Secondary, IGCSE, and IB levels High proficiency in spoken and written English to effectively deliver curriculum and communicate with stakeholders
