Field Engineer

Electronic Security Midlands / Birmingham Circa £33,000 + Benefits Permanent We’re recruiting for an experienced Field Engineer to join an established business within the electronic security sector. This is a field-based position, predominantly focused on service and maintenance, alongside installation and corrective works across a range of customer sites. You’ll be working with CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems, so we’re looking for someone with good hands-on technical experience who is confident fault-finding, working independently and dealing directly with customers. What you'll be doing Carrying out planned service and maintenance visits Fault-finding, diagnosing issues and completing corrective works Installing electronic security systems when required Working across CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification Providing clear updates and accurate documentation following site visits Liaising professionally with customers and internal teams Managing your workload and travelling between customer sites Supporting engineering colleagues on larger projects when required Occasional UK travel and overnight stays where necessary What we're looking for At least 2 years' engineering or relevant industry experience Experience servicing and/or installing CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems ECS/CSCS Full UK driving licence Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability Good organisation and time management Confident working independently with minimal supervision Professional and customer-focused approach Good attention to detail and accurate record keeping Flexibility to travel when required PASMA, IPAF and Emergency First Aid at Work would be advantageous, although additional training can be provided.
