As a Chef de partie and be responsible for a specific kitchen section and handle everything from preparation to the final presentation of dishes. You will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Senior Head Chef’s in the day-to-day management of the kitchen operation.
Responsibilities:
You will report to and take direction from the Head Chef. Your main areas of responsibility will include, but are not confined to:
- Assisting with managing the production of food to an exceptional standard
- Assisting with the creation of imaginative menus
- Implementing, monitoring and complying with food hygiene and HACCP procedures
- Prepare dishes in accordance with agreed recipe and standards
- Ensuring quality control procedures are implemented and adhered to
- Stock rotation, ordering & recording as required
- Assisting with training of kitchen staff
- Assisting with the management and supervision of kitchen staff, particularly in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Assisting with measures in place for achieving gross margins on food sales, minimizing wastage and controlling relevant staff costs
- Maintaining consistent professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and personal hygiene
