Team Lead/.NET Developer

Headquartered in Europe, Omada is a fast-growing cybersecurity software company with locations globally and we have recently opened a new development center in Alicante, Spain.

As the new location continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled  Team Lead / .NET Developer  to join the team. You will play a key role in the Alicante team, leading and growing a team of fellow engineers. In your work, you will be a key team member of one of the established feature teams, where you will work closely with developers from our other centers in Denmark and Poland within cross-functional scrum teams.

The Team Lead is a cross discipline role that covers people management of a smaller group of fellow engineers, while still maintaining an active role as a developer. As a team lead you are responsible for motivating, developing, and engaging your team and you are also a driving force in creating an inspiring environment with an open communication culture.

Get challenged in your role:

You will have people management responsibility for a group of the engineers in the department, mentor them to ensure growth and proper challenges that develops their career within Omada in the best possible way.

You will play a key role in recruitment and onboarding activities to grow the team further.

You will work with other R&D team leads to grow the management and leadership practices of the organization, to ensure the practices are following along with the constant growth of the department.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining features of our product.

You will work closely with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developers, and other colleagues on further development of the product from the early stages of the feature life cycle doing initial design and estimates, designing new features for product components and present them for architects and the scrum team.  

You will perform peer code reviews and do peer programming sessions.  

You will actively participate in all scrum ceremonies, e.g., the sprint planning session where plans are made with the entire team and the PO, and the end of sprint demonstrations, where the latest innovations are shared with the larger team.  

You will be a key player in developing the features, and responsible for the quality, working closely together with QA securing a high quality when we release new features.  

You have 

Experience with people management from a previous position

At least 10 years’ experience with C#, .NET development and SQL

You are experienced in product development as well as the agile development life cycle

Higher IT education such as graduate or master

On the technology stack, we expect that you have experience with the following

C# and .NET

JavaScript and front-end development (REACT is a plus) 

Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Server

Test automation (unit, integration, performance, UI testing) 

Cloud development (Azure components like Event Hubs and Azure Functions is a plus) 

Experience with development of CI/CD pipelines
