Team Leader Purchasing (working foreman) | Aircraft Maintenance

Are you the working foreman who will take the purchasing team to a higher level?

As Team Leader Purchasing, you combine leadership with an active role on the shop floor. You are not a manager who only directs from a distance, but you fully participate yourself: you track down parts, maintain customer contact, and solve complex purchasing issues, just like your fellow buyers.

In addition, you guide the team: you help junior buyers and material coordinators to further develop themselves, monitor the quality of the work, and identify where processes can be improved. The purchasing manager looks to you as a right hand, and in the long term, there is room to grow into an even larger role within the team.

You work closely with the senior buyers, buyers, and material coordinators, and communicate regularly with customers regarding the progress of parts and projects.

Where will you work?

You will be working at a leading, independent aircraft maintenance organization in the Maastricht region. You will work literally next to the aircraft, in an international team with short lines of communication. It is a full-time position.

Who are you?

• You have demonstrable purchasing experience at a senior level, or demonstrate that you can grow into this quickly
• You have experience with people management, but prefer to remain hands-on
• You speak fluent English (Dutch is not a requirement; international team)
• You are representative and communicate easily with customers
• You remain calm and persuasive, even when the pressure increases
