Senior DevOps / ELK Engineer

We are the most experienced company in Portugal in IT career management and we still learn something new from every person who joins us. Come be the next one! We are looking for a Senior DevOps / ELK Engineer ?to join a hybrid project in? Lisbon. Salary range: 42.250€ - 51.700€ annual gross.

Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical equivalent;
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in IT environments focusing on observability and production support;
• Deep expertise in the Elastic Stack (Beats, Elastic Agents, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) and OpenTelemetry standards;
• Solid background in logs, metrics, traces, golden signals, alerting configuration, and dashboard creation;
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, UCD, Ansible) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Operating system proficiency: Linux and Windows (fundamentals, shell, metrics);
• Familiarity with RBAC, access management, REST APIs, and basic security controls;
• Elastic certifications and Microsoft Azure experience are a strong plus;
• Professional English C1 (mandatory); French or Dutch is a plus;
• EU/Schengen nationality or valid legal work permit for Portugal (Lisbon hybrid model, CET aligned).

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, optimize, and maintain the Elastic Stack across Mainframe, Open Systems, and Container platforms;
• Drive observability standards, managing indexing efficiency, log retention policies, data lifecycle, and security controls;
• Integrate observability solutions into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and operations teams;
• Establish application monitoring governance, coding guidelines, and best practices across the organization;
• Lead production troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), P1/P2 incident handling, and release execution;
• Coach and mentor team members to accelerate adoption of new observability solutions;
• Collaborate with Product Owners to estimate effort, design value-driven roadmaps, and report project progress.
