Mid Machine Learning Engineer

Imagine having access to over 3000 courses from day one. At Olisipo that is just the starting point. Come discover the rest! We are looking for a Mid Machine Learning Engineer to join a hybrid project in Lisbon. Salary range: 35.050€ – 45.400€ annual gross.

Profile:

• Professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience in the Machine Learning field;
• Minimum B2 level proficiency in English (oral and written);
• Strong Python programming skills (OOP, design patterns, clean code, pytest/unittest);
• Solid experience in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and pipeline integration;
• Hands-on expertise with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and model-serving APIs (FastAPI, Flask);
• Experience deploying models using Docker/Kubernetes and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins);
• Practical understanding of MLOps fundamentals (Git versioning, code reviews, model deployment, monitoring);
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for ML workloads;
• Pragmatic problem-solver comfortable building MLOps practices from scratch in an open, non-hierarchical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Package, deploy, and productionize machine learning models developed by the data science team;
• Build, support, and maintain ML-focused CI/CD deployment pipelines;
• Establish model monitoring and alerting mechanisms in production to track performance and failures;
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable Python code aligned with team standards;
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Scientists and Data Engineers on model integration and data transformations;
• Optimize model performance, response times, and operational efficiency in production;
• Support the team in establishing and automating MLOps practices from the ground up.
