Your tasks

Purpose of the Position Responsible for preparing quotes, entering orders, communicate between factory and customer during the production of the ordered materials

Joe Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of all US Aluminum products.
• Prepare quotes from architectural drawings and customer take offs.
• Prepare material take offs from shop drawings or customer take offs for ordering all necessary materials.
• Coordinate project requirements with drafting department to ensure accurate and timely shop drawing production.
• Review and analyze shop drawings for proper dimensions, systems and details
• Work closely with outside salesperson and customer service contact to provide the best possible team effort for our customer
• Communicate with manufacturing and warehouse to ensure timely delivery of product to customer.
• Provide technical assistance to customer, architects and coworkers pertaining to product and project inquiries.

Requirements

• At least two (2) years’ experience completing estimate for aluminum architectural building products
• Familiarity with architectural glazing systems.
• Mechanical aptitude a must
• Aptitude for delivering world class service
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings.
• Strong reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Strong math skills. Geometry and trigonometry a plus.
• Computer literacy. Knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PDF documents
• Knowledge of estimating software a plus.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, busy, multi-tasking environment.
