The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for this role is a hands-on engineer who enjoys working at the bench and is not afraid to get stuck into a problem. You are comfortable with microcontrollers, the command line, and test equipment, and you can read a datasheet without needing someone to explain it to you. When something does not work, you dig into it, find the cause, and document what you found. You are early in your career, but you take initiative and do not wait to be told what to do next.

Key Responsibilities As a Junior Embedded Operations Engineer, you will: Build, flash, and test proof-of-concept setups for new sensors, modules, and features.

Read and interpret technical datasheets to evaluate and integrate new components.

Use oscilloscopes, test jigs, and HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) setups to find faults and debug issues.

Support our production runs with our external manufacturer by reviewing test results and flagging issues early.

Help monitor our deployed Data Collector™ units and troubleshoot device issues using logs and data.

Write scripts to automate testing and repetitive operational tasks.

Travel occasionally to customer sites to support device deployments.

Document setups, test results, and procedures thoroughly and consistently.

Requirements Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32), from work, studies, or personal projects.

Experience with command-line scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).

Good understanding of Linux.

Experience with AWS IoT or a similar cloud IoT platform.

Practical experience with oscilloscopes (DSO), multimeters, and other test equipment.

Understanding of test jigs, HIL testing, and other testing methods for finding faults.

Ability to read and understand technical datasheets independently.

Comfortable with practical, hands-on work such as wiring, measuring, and basic soldering.

Committed to documenting all the work and processes you own.

Ability to work with a high degree of independence and take initiative.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Residing within commuting distance of our Copenhagen office - no remote, no relocation.

Good To Have Experience with cellular IoT (LTE-M/NB-IoT) and MQTT.

Experience with RS-485/Modbus or other industrial communication interfaces.

Previous experience providing technical support within a team.

What We Offer A full-time, in-office position.

A professional and positive working environment.

Hands-on work on real products deployed on the electrical grid.

The opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers.

An environment that genuinely rewards proactiveness and new ideas.

Encouragement to develop your own tools and improve our processes.

A cozy office close to public transportation (between Frederiksberg Allé and Enghave Plads metro stations).
