Key Responsibilities

Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode).

Perform fusion splicing on aerial, underground, and indoor fiber optic cables.

Conduct OTDR, Optical Power Meter, and Visual Fault Locator (VFL) testing.

Troubleshoot fiber optic faults and restore services within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Install and maintain fiber distribution panels (FDPs), optical distribution frames (ODFs), and joint closures.

Install customer premises equipment (CPE), media converters, switches, routers, and wireless devices where applicable.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on network infrastructure.

Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports and as-built documentation.

Coordinate with the Network Operations Centre (NOC) during planned maintenance and fault resolution.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards while working in the field.

Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and inventory usage.

Support network expansion projects and customer installations.
