PROPERTY DISPOSAL SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Property Disposal Specialist in the Supply Division of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-13047750-26-JMM. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

Major duties

• You will oversee a team responsible for preparing documentation and scheduling for the material pickup and delivery functions.
• You will be responsible for overall program management of NRL's property disposal program which provides services related to the physical control, documentation, and disposition of excess equipment and materials.
• You will develop a plan for NRL to promote maximum utilization of excess material/equipment generated at NRL and ONR sponsored activities.
• You will provide technical disposition consultation services for NRL divisions, particularly for items that require unusual disposition methods.
• You will communicate and coordinate with DLADS and other relevant agencies and business to select and execute the most cost-effective methods of work.
• You will provide guidance, oversight, and scheduling for the material pickup and delivery functions.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one of which is equivalent to the next lower pay band (NO-01) or GS equivalent (GS-4) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: 1) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; 2) Planning and organizing work; and 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: -Completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; or -A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
