Service & Maintenance Administrator Gateshead, NE8 £25,000 per annum Full-time | Permanent | Office based Monday to Thursday: 8am-5pm | Friday: 8am-2pm Are you an experienced administrator who loves being organised, keeping on top of the detail and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? Perhaps you're at your best in a busy, fast-moving office , where no two days are quite the same and you're juggling everything from invoices and purchase orders to timesheets, engineer queries and client requests. If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join an exceptionally friendly, welcoming and supportive team in Gateshead as their new Service & Maintenance Administrator . You'll be joining a busy Service & Maintenance department, providing essential day-to-day administrative support to the Service Manager and Service & Maintenance Coordinator , while also working closely with engineers, clients and colleagues across the wider business. This is a varied, hands-on administration role within a very busy Service & Maintenance department. You'll work closely with the Service Manager and Service & Maintenance Coordinator , providing the administrative support they need to keep the department organised and running smoothly. Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Service Manager and Service & Maintenance Coordinator Processing and checking engineer timesheets Raising and processing invoices Raising purchase orders Liaising with clients regarding service and maintenance administration Communicating with engineers and providing administrative support Managing queries by telephone and email Updating internal systems, spreadsheets and Excel data Processing paperwork accurately and efficiently Maintaining accurate records and ensuring information is kept up to date Supporting the wider Service & Maintenance team with day-to-day administration Completing other ad-hoc administrative duties to support this busy department What are we looking for? We're looking for someone who is a strong administrator first and foremost . You don't necessarily need to come from an engineering or maintenance background, but you do need to be confident working in a busy office environment where accuracy and organisation are really important. You'll ideally have: Previous experience within an administration or office support role Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail A confident and professional telephone manner Good written and verbal communication skills The ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities Confidence dealing with both clients and internal colleagues A proactive approach and willingness to get stuck in The ability to stay calm and organised when things get busy Why apply?
