Operations Technician
We are now looking for an operations technician for the Technical Unit in Övertorneå kommun. The Technical Unit currently consists of 30 employees, of whom four are property caretakers. The unit is responsible for all the municipality's public premises such as schools, elderly care homes, etc., but also for certain industrial and commercial premises.
Due to the significant technological development that has occurred in recent years regarding operations and maintenance, we now need an operations technician with a background in property technology and a focus/qualification in electricity and automation, or alternatively control and regulation technology. You will be the first to be hired as an operations technician and will have the chance to participate in the change process that the unit is currently undergoing.
Tasks: The Technical Unit offers varied work with great responsibility towards our customers. As an operations technician, you will be part of a team that works together to maintain and operate properties and their systems and to deliver a complete solution within property-related tasks.
Main tasks:
- Rounds and inspections both physically and digitally
- Rectifying reported faults
- Operation and maintenance of existing premises indoors and outdoors
- Management and supervision of subcontractors
- Documentation and administration of your own and, to some extent, others' tasks
- Collaborating with staff within the technical department, the project department, management, as well as the customer's various organizations
About you: As an employee of the technical unit, you are the face of the organization and are expected to have a high level of service awareness. We are looking for someone who (has/is):
- Responsible, has good organizational skills, likes to take initiative, and is good at completing tasks
- Good at prioritizing and working in a solution-oriented manner
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys providing service
- Enjoys collaborating in a team
- Education in electricity and automation or alternatively control and regulation technology, or documented experience as a property technician/property operations
- Knowledge of VVS and/or refrigeration is meritorious
- Good computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite is fundamental
- Good understanding of English in speech and writing
- B-driver's license with access to a car
Scope: Working hours are normally days and weekdays, but potential on-call duty may become relevant in the future. The position is full-time and permanent, located in Övertorneå.
Start occurs as soon as possible, by agreement.
