Your Job

• You are responsible for the new development and further development of IT-based safety-critical systems of the railway infrastructure technology, particularly the train control system European Train Control System (ETCS).
• You will lead the specification of requirement specifications (use cases/functions) as the basis for requirements for the system development or further development of computer-based railway interlocking technology, taking into account the requirements of operations, operational management, and strategic system deployment.
• As a technical interface between all function-related subsystems, you coordinate their integration, ensure interface specification, and ensure integration into the supersystem landscape.
• You review technical specifications from suppliers, accompany them in the technical system development process, define system acceptance criteria, and carry out the acceptance of the systems.
• Representation of the specialist department in international standardization committees such as TSI CCS takes place in connection with ETCS, as does active participation in international working groups for the European standardization of railway technology.
• After system commissioning, you take over systemic responsibility and support operations during critical failures (e.g., safety, availability) through analyses, determination of measures, and communication with system manufacturers.
• Your tasks also include the creation of system-related documentation (e.g., maintenance, presentation, training, deployment planning), supporting procurement in the creation of technical tender documents, and conducting system-related training in regular courses.

Your Profile

• You have a completed university degree or technical training (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or similar) and ideally already have experience with safety-critical systems - particularly in the context of train control and ETCS.
• You are familiar with the particularities of the development and use of IT-based safety-critical systems as well as topics related to IT networks and IT security.
• Independent and initiative-driven work in complex project and process landscapes is a matter of course for you; you also bring a high willingness to learn.
• Your strengths include analytical thinking with a structured approach, teamwork, reliability, and resilience - complemented by social competence and empathy.
• Business-fluent English skills as well as routine handling of English-language documents round off your profile.

Our Offer For the function "Technik Spez. Sen. - Systemspez. LS" in the data management of the Energy division, a minimum salary of € 55,307.00 gross/year is provided. Overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and professional experience.
