A professional is required to manage the food quality and safety system at the plant. The purpose of the position is to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, associated documentation, the implementation of HACCP, prerequisite programs, and the execution of internal audits. The goal is to strengthen document management and the continuous improvement of the food process, directly impacting regulatory compliance. This role is fundamental to maintaining operational excellence and the safety of the final product, serving as a key pillar as a Quality Manager and Food Safety Specialist. An on-site work modality is offered, with a salary of $2,700,000, a contract for a specific work or labor task, and a daytime shift. The selected candidate will act as a Food Safety Specialist, guaranteeing the integrity of the processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the organization's food quality and safety management system.
- Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards established by current regulations and applicable certifications (ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS).
- Implement and supervise the correct application of the principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Develop, maintain, and verify the effectiveness of prerequisite programs (PPR) and control plans.
- Perform periodic internal audits to evaluate the conformity of the management system and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage the quality system documentation, including instructional procedures and records.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes related to food quality and safety.
- Collaborate with the production, logistics, and purchasing areas to guarantee safety throughout the supply chain.
- Address and follow up on non-conformities and audits from clients or regulatory entities.
Requirements:
- Professional in Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agro-industrial Engineering, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in food quality and safety management systems.
- Knowledge and application of regulations such as HACCP, BPM, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS, and Resolución 2674.
- Experience in the implementation and maintenance of prerequisite programs (PPR).
- Ability to perform document management and internal quality and safety audits.
- Intermediate level of Excel.
- Technical English level for the comprehension of documentation and international standards.
- Availability to work in an on-site modality.
