Marine Package Engineer
About the Role We are looking for a Marine Mechanical Engineer to support the engineering, specification, and technical delivery of marine mechanical equipment packages for marine and offshore projects . You will be responsible for ensuring equipment meets project requirements, applicable industry standards, and operational and reliability expectations in offshore environments. The role involves close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines, vendors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Perform engineering design and calculations for marine mechanical equipment, including fresh water generators, pumps, sewage treatment plants , and other related equipment.
Prepare equipment datasheets, technical specifications, and requisitions for RFQs.
Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and review vendor documentation.
Provide technical support during FAT, SIT, commissioning, and project execution activities.
Ensure compliance with relevant API, ASME, ISO, and classification society requirements .
Coordinate with process, piping, electrical, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective project delivery.
Assist with troubleshooting and reliability assessments , including noise, vibration, and equipment performance issues.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and other safety and technical reviews .
Provide technical support and guidance on marine mechanical equipment throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Approximately 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience , with at least 3–5 years of experience in FPSO, offshore, or marine projects .
Good understanding of: Marine mechanical equipment and systems
Package engineering workflows
Marine and offshore design considerations, including motion, corrosion, and hazardous area requirements
Able to execute assigned engineering tasks independently and work effectively with guidance on complex or critical technical matters.
Good written and verbal English communication skills .
Proficiency in Mandarin , written and/or spoken.
Experience working with international vendors, classification societies, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Experience supporting equipment through FAT, commissioning, and offshore project execution .
