About the Role Holmwood Care Group is looking for a practical and reliable Facilities Maintenance Operative to support Holmwood House in Swaffham, with regular support provided to Alexander Court in Thetford. This is a general maintenance role covering day to day repairs, upkeep and building maintenance. Excellent painting and decorating skills are essential, as the role will also include maintaining bedrooms, corridors and communal areas to a high standard.

Job Opportunity Main Duties General maintenance and minor repairs Planned and reactive maintenance Painting and decorating Repairing damaged walls, plasterwork, corners and woodwork Minor carpentry and making-good works Bedroom turnarounds and preparation for new residents Furniture assembly and minor repairs Replacing basic fixtures, fittings, bulbs and batteries Maintaining corridors, entrances and communal areas Supporting Alexander Court when required

Essential Skills About You Good general maintenance experience Excellent painting and decorating skills Practical knowledge of basic building repairs Confidence using hand and power tools Ability to work independently and manage priorities Full UK driving license Previous experience in a care home, healthcare, hotel or similar environment would be useful but is not essential. Package Competitive rate of pay £15.80 per hourb 40 hours per week Full-time permanent position Based primarily at Holmwood House, Swaffham Regular work at Alexander Court, Thetford This role would suit someone with a broad maintenance background who takes pride in maintaining buildings to a good standard and has strong practical painting and decorating skills.
