We’re looking for a dependable and detail-focused Bank staff Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team at Strode Park House. This is more than a laundry role: every item you care for helps someone feel comfortable, respected and at home. Be part of something meaningful Working alongside a supportive team, you’ll help keep our laundry service running smoothly, safely and to the highest standard. Your care, consistency and attention to detail will directly support the comfort and wellbeing of the people who use our services. As a Bank Laundry Assistant, you will be offered an hourly rate of £12.71.

What you’ll do

  • Collect, clean and return service users’ personal laundry with care
  • Manage the collection, distribution and stock levels of NHS linen
  • Use industrial laundry machines, hand irons and roller irons safely
  • Carry out basic sewing and mending when needed
  • Keep laundry equipment and the working area clean, safe and hygienic
  • Follow infection control procedures and protect each person’s privacy and dignity
  • Provide cover at our Canterbury and Faversham sites when required
  • Take part in training, supervision and development opportunities

Where you'll be Set within a beautiful 19th-century Victorian manor house surrounded by 14 acres of grounds, Strode Park House offers a relaxed, homely setting for residents on both short- and long-term stays. Strode Park House is a residential home with nursing care for 55 adults with physical disabilities and complex needs in Herne, Kent.   • Comfortable reading and following instructions, especially when using chemicals
  • Experienced in laundry work, whether professionally or at home
  • A driver with access to your own vehicle, enabling you to support our other homes when required

Even better if you have

  • Experience of working in a care home environment
  • Basic English and maths skills
