Oaks Coffee Co. is looking for a Cook to join our kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café kitchen and takes pride in preparing food that is consistent, well-presented and made to our standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Prepare and cook food according to our recipes and standards
• Assist with daily mise en place and food preparation
• Ensure food is prepared and served efficiently during service
• Maintain consistency in taste, portioning and presentation
• Keep your workstation clean, organised and well-stocked
• Follow proper food hygiene and safety practices
• Assist with receiving, storing and organising ingredients
• Monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Support the kitchen team with general day-to-day operations
• Work closely with the Chef and service team to ensure smooth operations

What we’re looking for

• Previous kitchen or café experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking
• Able to work efficiently during busy service periods
• Good attention to detail and consistency
• Responsible, punctual and willing to learn
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and good work ethic
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
