NUWARD, a subsidiary of EDF, is dedicated to the development of the Group's small modular reactors (SMRs). NUWARD designs this multi-energy platform, capable of producing decarbonized and competitive electricity and heat to meet the needs of industry and cities. Our SMR called "NUWARD_SMR" with a simple, modular, and prefabricated design is based on the expertise of the nuclear fleet. You will report hierarchically to the Head of Construction, Modularity and Constructability (CMC) and operationally to the Lead Exploitation Maintenance (EXMA). You will federate the expertise of the Construction Modularity & Commissioning and Exploitation & Maintenance teams to ensure a coherent approach to testing throughout the life cycle of the unit. You will be responsible for designing and managing the engineering sequences for the "commissioning test" and "operational testing" work packages, with a particular focus on the challenges of modular commissioning and the testability of innovative systems.

YOUR MISSIONS:

Testability by design:

• Define the installation's testability needs for integration from the design phase and guarantee the consistency of different types of tests (periodic, post-maintenance, commissioning);
• Conduct testability studies on sizing tests using simulation tools.

Management of requirements<strong>

• Define and manage the justification for integration and the Verification and Validation (V&V) strategy for testability requirements, based on the FAT/SAT (Factory Acceptance Tests/Site Acceptance Tests) needs of MEH modules and operational testing.

Coordination of Work Packages<strong>

• Define and manage commissioning work packages (SWP) and testing work packages (TWP) by integrating them into the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) method and the global construction schedule.

Definition of the Engineering Framework: Establish the test engineering framework (standards, methods, models, governance) and ensure the production and consistency of test deliverables.

Testing Optimization: Review the design of MEH modules to anticipate factory tests (FAT) versus site tests (SAT), and optimize the scope of tests between the first-of-a-kind (FOAK) and subsequent units (NOAK).

Support to Design Teams: Support design teams on aspects related to system testing (interactions, operating modes, sequences).

Partner Management<strong>

• Manage and control the technical scope of partners within the framework of the work package dedicated to testing, ensuring quality and compliance with milestones.

Potential evolution towards transversal management of test engineers within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) (coordination, prioritization, skill development).?Job location in Lyon with occasional travel to be expected to various NUWARD sites (Paris, Tours) and partner engineering firms.

PROFILE

Training and Experience<strong>

• Generalist Engineer or equivalent. 5 to 10 years of commissioning experience in the implementation phase of a nuclear project; In-depth knowledge of REP operation (necessarily EPR given the new projectsli>
• Skills in applied system engineering;
• You master system tests (preparation, execution, analysis), have knowledge of interactions between systems, a global vision of the plant, and experience in interface management (FAT/SAT).

Managerial and Relational Qualities<strong>

• Ability to collaborate, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, arbitrate, and make decisions;
• You are able to identify obstacles before a project is actually built in order to reduce or avoid errors, delays, and cost overruns;
• You master activity management: milestones, prioritization, risk management, and reportingli>
