YOUR MISSIONS
As a Cost Estimator, you will report to the Senior Project Control Manager, and you will be integrated into the "cost estimation" unit. You will be required to: - Ensure, within your estimation scope, the coordination and animation of all stakeholders to consolidate product costs; - Define, under the coordination of the Cost Estimator Lead, the assumptions and prerequisites for estimation, and the estimation schedule for a given scope; - Express and explain your needs for cost estimation based on descriptions and/or technical specifications and the development stage of the project; - Estimate CAPEX costs of various natures (direct costs of materials, equipment, labor, indirect project management costs, temporary installations, and site supervision) compared to a description / technical specification, in an objective, reliable, and traceable manner, by deploying the proposed methods/tools; - Evaluate provisions for estimation uncertainties, for schedule contingencies, to cover the technical risks of projects; - Contribute to techno-economic optimization processes (example: design-to-cost during the development phase); - Report product cost estimates on a given scope and the variances from the target, share them with the Senior Project Manager in charge of this scope, and define under their leadership the clarification and cost optimization actions; - Contribute to specifying, structuring, developing, and maintaining unit cost databases, and identifying cost drivers. Job location in Lyon with occasional travel to be expected to various NUWARD sites (Paris, Tours) and partner engineering firms.
YOUR PROFILE
You are a graduate generalist engineer or equivalent, and you hold a certification as an estimator or in project management (PMI or equivalent). You have significant professional experience (minimum 8 years, several complete positions) in a design office, in project and site management, or in industrial purchasing, across several industrial sectors (Nuclear, Aeronautics, Oil&Gas) with at least 1 concrete experience as a cost estimator or 1 experience in purchasing and industrial strategy. Your experience allows you to have knowledge of the principles and processes of cost estimation management (cost breakdown, uncertainties, provisions, drivers as well as the governance milestones of a "product" development project and the execution of EPCC projects). You demonstrate dynamism, adaptability, rigor, and possess a sharp sense of analysis. You have the interpersonal skills necessary to work in a team and to interact with a wide diversity of interlocutors. English reading, writing, and speaking required.
