The company continues to expand its pipeline by leveraging its deep expertise in cardiac cell biology and novel therapeutic targets to develop potentially transformative treatments for patients with genetic heart diseases.
Nuevocor’s Singapore R&D site is seeking to hire a senior research associate to expand our internal research capabilities. You will be joining a close-knit team where you will work closely with company scientists and other research associates.
Your tasks
- Work with company scientists to execute and troubleshoot experiments in a variety of areas, including target discovery, target validation, and lead optimization of AAV gene therapy for genetic cardiomyopathies
- Contribute to multiple projects and work with collaborators to achieve project milestones
- Keep detailed and accurate records of experiments, data and analysis to support and protect intellectual property of the company
- Contribute to lab management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related fields
- Mandatory: Demonstrated hands-on experience working with mouse models, including transgenic colony management, drug administration, tissue collection and processing.
- Experience in cardiac phenotyping (e.g. echocardiography, ECG) would be advantageous
- Keen interest in translational research and comfortable working efficiently to meet milestones
- High standards in documentation
- Good time management and pro-active attitude
- Excellent communication skills and able to work in a team
