Your tasks

We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Services & Facilities Cleaner to join our team in Glomfjord. This role is vital in ensuring that our facilities, offices, technical spaces, and common areas remain clean, safe, organized, and welcoming for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Your mission will be to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment across our facilities while supporting our high operational standards:

Cleaning & Facility Maintenance

• Perform daily cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, break areas, restrooms, locker rooms, and common spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility, ensuring all areas are presentable and hygienic.
• Empty waste and recycling containers and ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.

Environmental & Waste Management

• Support site environmental initiatives through responsible waste handling and recycling practices.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals and supplies are used, stored, and disposed of safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with sustainability efforts and environmental compliance activities where required.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all site health and safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify and report hazards, maintenance issues, spills, damages, or unsafe conditions.
• Support Nscale's commitment to maintaining a safe and incident-free working environment.

Facility Support

• Assist with stocking consumables such as paper products, soap, and sanitary supplies.
• Support site events, meetings, and facility preparations as required.
• Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas and report cleaning or maintenance requirements.

Equipment Management

• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Monitor inventory levels and request replenishment of cleaning supplies when necessary.

Training & Development

• Participate in site inductions, safety training, and company development programs.
• Receive ongoing training to support professional growth and success within the role.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial services, environmental services, housekeeping, or facility support roles.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.
• Good understanding of cleaning methods, equipment, and hygiene standards.
• Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in industrial, technical, manufacturing, data centre, healthcare, or commercial environments.
• Knowledge of waste management and recycling practices.
• Experience operating professional cleaning equipment.

Health & Safety Awareness

• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Commitment to following procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to identify and report hazards or maintenance concerns promptly.

• You take pride in maintaining exceptionally clean and organized environments and notice issues before they become problems.

Communication Skills

• Fluency in Norwegian is preferred. Basic English communication skills are desirable.
