Job Summary

Manage and support mission-critical IT infrastructure and cybersecurity for local and overseas users. Collaborate with Global IT to align standards and oversee regional IT initiatives, ensuring reliable system performance and user support.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all backup schedules run reliably to protect data integrity, manage and monitor cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard company systems
  • Administer endpoint devices using Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools, provide timely IT support to local and overseas users, resolving issues efficiently
  • Collaborate with Global IT to oversee regional projects and align local IT practices with global ITGC standards
  • Respond promptly to user support requests and resolve support tickets within KPIs, monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure continuous connectivity
  • Set up Virtual Private Network (VPN) access for users to enable secure remote connections, manage access permissions to Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems, administer Remote Desktop Services (RDS) for local users to facilitate remote work
  • Assist with technology refreshes including hardware upgrades, operating system updates, patching, and firmware upgrades, deploy application upgrades and fixes on managed infrastructure to maintain system functionality
  • Raise purchase requisitions and coordinate with Global IT for end-user software procurement, manage IT asset inventory including devices and equipment, administer network devices such as routers, printers, and switches to maintain operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with HR and Global IT to create email accounts and configure devices for new hires, set up Office 365 applications and configure user access in NAS or Active Directory, including shared folder mapping
  • Configure web browsers and tablets for remote desktop applications and operator work instructions, support offboarding processes by disabling email and RDS accounts, resetting devices, and removing access rights on NAS or Active Directory

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting mission-critical IT infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365
  • Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly in English and Chinese to non-technical stakeholders
