Online English Lesson Content Developer
Novakid is an English language school for children aged 4–12. We are looking for a Content Writer to join our Content team.
We’re looking for someone creative, energetic and full of ideas - someone who can turn learning objectives into lessons that children genuinely want to take part in.
Our lessons need to be more than correct. They need to be fun, intuitive, engaging and effective. You’ll be creating online English learning content for children, working across different age groups, levels and projects. You may be developing a new lesson one day, improving an existing course the next, testing a new activity format, or working on a completely different Content project. We need someone who enjoys that variety and is comfortable moving quickly between tasks.
What you’ll be doing Design and develop fun, engaging and age-appropriate online English lessons for children
Turn learning objectives into clear, intuitive activities that encourage students to speak, think, interact and participate
Create lessons with clear and measurable learning outcomes
Build content with strong pacing, scaffolding and progression
Make sure lessons are appropriate for the student’s age, English level and cognitive development
Create activities, exercises, assessments and supporting content across different Novakid products
Review and improve existing lessons based on feedback, observations and performance
Take part in content reviews and give constructive feedback to other writers
Work closely with Methodology, Proofreading, Design, Production and other Content colleagues
Contribute ideas for new formats, activities and ways of making our lessons more engaging
Support pilots, new courses and other Content projects when needed
Stay up to date with developments in education, children’s digital learning and EdTech.
AI is part of how we work We use AI extensively across the Content team, and we expect our Content Writers to be comfortable doing the same.
You should be able to: use AI as part of your everyday content creation workflow
use it to brainstorm, research, adapt and improve content
experiment with new AI tools and ways of working
critically review AI-generated material rather than accepting it at face value
understand when AI can save time and when human judgement is essential
be curious about how AI can help us create better learning experiences.
You don’t need to know every AI tool already, but you do need to be open, confident and eager to learn.
What we’re looking for Higher education
Strong knowledge of English language teaching and lesson planning
Experience creating educational or teaching materials
A strong understanding of how to structure a lesson and achieve a clear learning outcome
Excellent English - at least C1, both written and spoken
Strong digital skills and confidence in learning new tools
Creativity and the ability to turn a learning objective into something genuinely engaging for children
Good attention to detail
Ability to accept and act on feedback
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team

You bring ideas and enthusiasm into what you create. You think from the child’s point of view. You ask whether an activity is actually enjoyable and intuitive, not just whether it teaches the right language. You are flexible. You can move between projects, age groups, lesson types and priorities without becoming stuck. You are mentally agile and comfortable handling several different tasks. You are curious and eager to learn. You want to understand new tools, new approaches and what other learning products are doing. You are proactive. You bring ideas rather than waiting for every detail to be given to you. You are comfortable experimenting, receiving feedback and changing direction when something can be better. You have embraced A I and see it as a useful part of modern content creation rather than something to avoid. And most importantly, you care about creating lessons that children enjoy, understand and learn from.

Experience teaching children
Experience developing digital learning content
Experience with CEFR-aligned English programmes
Experience using Google Workspace
Experience with Jira or similar project-management tools
Experience working with AI tools for content creation
An interest in games, interactive learning or digital children’s products
