Project Manager Telecom

Do you get energy from managing different technical projects simultaneously and are you strong at problem-solving? Then this position offers you a combination of telecom, infrastructure, project management, and stakeholder management.

As a Project Manager, you oversee a portfolio of telecom infrastructure projects. You ensure that technical and operational teams are aligned, keep a sharp eye on deadlines, and intervene when projects are at risk of stalling.

The position requires someone who can work independently and quickly, dares to make decisions, and maintains an overview even when priorities change. The work takes place full-time on-site in Mechelen.

What will you do?

• You manage a portfolio with various telecom infrastructure projects.
• You manage projects with a focus on planning, quality, and agreed results.
• You monitor important milestones and operational priorities.
• You are a point of contact for escalations and complex project problems.
• You identify project risks in a timely manner and implement appropriate actions.
• You coordinate project leaders, planners, design teams, and operational teams.
• You maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
• You monitor agreements and ensure professional follow-up with customers.
• You follow up on various parallel projects without losing the overall overview.
• You report clearly on planning, progress, risks, and bottlenecks.
• You facilitate consultation between different disciplines and ensure that decisions are made.
• You act result-oriented when deadlines or commitments come under pressure.
• You have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager.
• You have demonstrable experience within telecom infrastructure.
• You possess sufficient technical affinity to properly understand network projects.
• Concepts such as fiber, civiele werken, kabelblazen, lassen/splicing, and netwerkuitrol are not foreign to you.
• You are strong in stakeholder management.
• You can handle escalations and make decisions when necessary.
• You think in solutions and act proactively.
• You have experience with risk and project management.
• You can manage different priorities simultaneously.
• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You work independently and take ownership from the start.
• You function well in an environment with changing priorities.
• English is necessary.
• Knowledge of Dutch is an important asset.
