Role Description The Sales Manager (Hospitality) is a full-time, on-site role based in Benin City, responsible for driving revenue growth for the hospitality subsidiary. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and nurturing relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, event planners, and direct guests. The Sales Manager will prepare and execute sales plans, conduct market research, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and track performance against targets. Daily activities include coordinating with operations and marketing teams to create attractive packages, organizing sales visits and presentations, and maintaining an updated sales pipeline and reports. The role also involves monitoring competitor activity, ensuring consistent brand representation, and providing management with insights and recommendations to improve occupancy, average daily rate, and overall profitability.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals in the hospitality or related service industry. Customer relationship management capabilities, with experience building and maintaining long-term partnerships with corporate clients, agents, and other stakeholders. Solid understanding of hospitality operations, revenue management principles, and basic financial metrics such as occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and decision-makers. Proficiency in using CRM tools and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation tools) to manage accounts and report on performance. Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities. Prior experience in hotel or hospitality sales management in Nigeria or similar markets is highly beneficial. Relevant academic background such as a degree or professional training in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
