Pizza Sanitation Associate

Job Summary Northwood Pizza is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pizza Sanitation Associate to support daily kitchen operations by maintaining clean, sanitary, and organized food preparation areas. The ideal candidate will assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, workstations, utensils, and service areas while supporting food safety and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, preparation surfaces, and service areas. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and food preparation equipment. Clean pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment according to established procedures. Maintain clean floors, sinks, storage areas, and waste-disposal areas. Assist kitchen staff with routine cleaning throughout service periods. Sanitize food-contact surfaces before and after food preparation. Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and sanitation materials as needed. Properly separate and dispose of food waste and other kitchen waste. Assist with receiving and organizing cleaning and kitchen supplies. Maintain organized storage areas and keep cleaning materials properly stored. Support opening, closing, and scheduled deep-cleaning duties. Report damaged equipment, sanitation concerns, or supply shortages to management. Follow proper chemical handling and workplace safety procedures. Assist with basic kitchen support tasks when required. Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures at all times. Qualifications Previous restaurant, kitchen, sanitation, or food-service experience preferred. Basic understanding of cleaning, sanitation, and food safety practices. Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and organization. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Ability to safely handle cleaning supplies and sanitation equipment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Willingness to learn and follow established cleaning procedures. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods during shifts. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
