Werkstudent:in Sales (m/w/d)
1 Werkstudent:in Sales (m/w/d) Why This Role Exists Right now the founders + the Founders Associate make the cold calls themselves. That works, but it does not scale.
Since we see positive response rates from our current outreach efforts, we are now building a proper outbound motion, and you're the person who runs the front of it. Not "support sales". You dial, you book, you own the number.
The upside for you: cold calling is a skill you can only learn by volume. Doing it +200 times a week for six months will teach you more about business than any course you could sign up for.
Your Role Week 1 to 4: Get on the phone
- Shadow the founders on live calls, then take over your own call blocks
- Learn the pitch, the finance language and the three objections that come up every single time
- 60 to 80 dials per call block, roughly 200 per week
- Book your first qualified meeting
Month 2 to 3: Own your pipeline
- Build and clean your own target lists (Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay)
- Research accounts before you dial, so the opener actually lands (or automate it)
- Handle the full top of funnel: dial, qualify, book, hand over
- Keep the CRM clean enough that we can actually read it
Month 4 and beyond: Build the machine
- Test openers, lists and follow-up sequences, and tell us what works
- Turn what works into a playbook the next hire can use
- Grow into full-cycle sales, sit in on discovery and demo calls, take your own deals
What You Need to Bring Non-negotiables:
- German really well, solid English. Austrian and German CFOs will not do a discovery call in English.
- You are not scared of the phone. Ten rejections in a row annoy you, they don't break you.
- We don't care what you studied, or whether you studied at all. University, gap year, or straight out of HAK all work. How you talk matters more than what's on your certificate.
- 20 h/week, on site in Vienna. Cold calling is a team sport and you learn it fastest sitting next to someone who's already good at it.
- High agency. You see what needs to happen and make it happen.
Strong plus:
- Any job where you've had to talk to strangers and sell something: promotion, fundraising, retail, call center, student org
- Finance or accounting background, or genuine curiosity about how a controlling team actually works
- You've used Apollo, HubSpot, Attio, lemlist or similar before
- You use the latest AI tools to automate annoying manual work and follow-ups
What You'll Get Compensation:
- 20 h/week to start. If it works for both sides, more hours or a full-time contract are possible later.
- You earn the same whether the week went well or badly. In your first months you should be learning to call properly, not chasing a number to make rent
- Minimum salary: €2,236 gross per month (full-time, 38.5 h/week, paid 14 times a year) according to the Austrian collective agreement, with overpayment based on qualifications and experience.
Learning:
- Direct coaching from founders who've sold to enterprise CFOs and built B2B companies before
- Weekly call reviews on your own recordings. This is where the actual learning happens.
- You'll speak with C-level executives at companies with 100 to 5,000 employees, in your first month
- You learn the full outbound stack: ICP, list building, enrichment, sequencing, calling, qualification
Growth:
- Clear path from top-of-funnel to full-cycle sales, at the speed you earn it
- First in line for the first full-time sales role as we scale
- A skill set that makes you employable at any startup in Europe, or lets you build your own
How to Apply Send an email to founders@northscope.at and include one short paragraph:
- Why you want to spend 20 hours a week calling strangers about accounting software
