THE JOB

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician with some prior experience for the Northern Lights Village Resort in Saariselkä. We hope you have previous experience in similar maintenance and upkeep tasks as well as a hands-on approach to work. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the resort facilities remain safe, comfortable, and in working order for both our guests and our staff. The job includes diverse property maintenance tasks and rapid, solution-oriented responses to maintenance requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing daily maintenance tasks and conducting regular inspections
  • Responding to maintenance requests
  • Ensuring that safety regulations and standards are followed
  • Cooperation with external contractors when necessary

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Experience in maintenance tasks; attitude and enthusiasm to learn new things are also important to us
  • Ability to use various tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • A valid B-class driving license
  • Essential English language skills, both orally and in writing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

ADVANTAGES

  • Technical or vocational education in a related field, for example, a plumber/electrician qualification
  • Knowledge of piping, electrical systems, and general building maintenance is an advantage
