JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Sales Manager for North Resort Oy to be responsible for the active sale of the Resort's services to domestic and especially international markets.

Your key task will be to build and develop North Resort's sales, particularly to international tour operators, travel agencies, and other tourism industry partners, as well as directly to private customers.

You will sell a comprehensive Lapland tourism experience: high-quality accommodation, restaurant services, winter and summer activities, transport services, and tourism packages built from these.

The position is a strongly hands-on sales role. We expect initiative and proactivity from you: you will not only receive inquiries but also seek out new customers and partners, contact them, present North Resort's services, and build long-term customer relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Active sale of North Resort's accommodation, restaurant, program, transport services, and travel packages
  • Building and maintaining international tour operator, travel agency, and agency relationships
  • Active acquisition of new international B2B customers and partners
  • Direct sales to individual travelers and groups
  • Mapping customer needs and creating service packages and offers suitable for the customer
  • Preparing offers, sales negotiations, and actively closing deals
  • Managing existing accounts and developing upselling
  • Participating in the productization and commercialization of North Resort's services and tourism packages
  • Utilizing sales channels, e-commerce, and other digital sales solutions
  • Active monitoring of sales targets, booking status, and occupancy rates
  • Participating, where appropriate, in international tourism industry sales events, workshops, trade fairs, and customer meetings
  • Collaboration with the Resort Manager, reception, restaurant, program services, and marketing partners
  • Monitoring and reporting sales results

WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Experience in sales and a proven track record of successful customer work
  • A strong sales mindset and the desire to perform active new customer acquisition
  • The ability to build long-term customer and partnership relationships
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
  • Fluent oral and written English skills
  • Good digital skills and the ability to utilize various sales and customer relationship management systems
  • Initiative, goal-orientation, and the ability to organize your own work
  • Readiness to work in an international and seasonal tourism environment
  • Readiness to travel as the position requires

We particularly value previous experience in international tourism sales, tour operator cooperation, hotel or resort sales, and existing contacts in international tourism trade. Other language skills are considered a significant advantage.

WE OFFER YOU

  • A rare opportunity to build the sales of a completely new international tourism destination from the ground up
  • A high-quality and truly distinctive Lapland tourism product to sell
  • The opportunity to build North Resort's international customer and partner network
  • An independent and responsible role where the results of your own work are concretely visible
  • The opportunity to influence sales operating models, productization, and international growth
  • Close cooperation with the Resort Manager and the company management
  • Competitive compensation; the applicant may propose their own salary expectation

Above all, we are looking for a person who enjoys sales and finding new customers. You will have the opportunity to help make North Resort an internationally known tourism destination and build its customer base from its first years of operation.
