Job Description

We are looking for Activity Guides for North Resort Oy. You will be responsible for implementing safe and experiential program services for international customers and participating in the operational activities of the tourism center.

Key Tasks

• Planning and implementing guided activities.
• Guiding, instructing customers, and ensuring their safety.

• Customer transportation as needed.
• Maintenance of program service equipment and ensuring operational readiness.

• Assisting facility maintenance tasks, snow removal, wood maintenance, and other operational maintenance activities.
• Inspections of equipment and safety gear.

What we expect from the applicant

• Suitable education or experience in program services, nature guiding, or the tourism industry.
• A wilderness and nature guide qualification or equivalent is considered an advantage; a responsible guide qualification is a strong advantage.

• Experience in snowmobile, ATV, reindeer, husky, snowshoe, paddling, or other nature activities is considered an advantage.
• At least a B-class driver's license; experience in customer transportation is considered an advantage.

• Valid EA1 first aid training or equivalent first aid qualification; EA2 is considered an advantage.
• Excellent safety and risk management skills.

• Readiness to act in emergency and exceptional situations and to participate in safety drills.
• Good local knowledge of Lapland's nature and hiking environments is considered an advantage.

• Fluent English skills; other language skills are considered a significant advantage.
• Good physical fitness and readiness to work in varying weather conditions.

• Readiness for evening, weekend, and seasonal work.

Terms of Employment

• The employment is either indefinite or fixed-term depending on the position.
• Working hours are determined according to the shift schedule.

• The employment follows the Collective Agreement for the Tourism, Restaurant, and Leisure Services (MaRa TES).
• A 6-month probationary period is applied in the employment in accordance with the Employment Contracts Act and the collective agreement.

• Salary is determined by competence, experience, and MaRa TES.
• The selected person must provide an acceptable medical certificate of their health status before the start of employment.
