Tasks:
- Calculate heating and cooling loads.
- Design duct systems.
- Manufacture and assemble different prefabricated fibreglass elements.
- Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation.
- Manufacture and assemble water evacuation systems for buildings.
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements .
- Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction.
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to template.
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces.
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification.
- Instruct apprentices.
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
- Fit and join sheet metal parts.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
- Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification.
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems:
Ventilation.
Specialization or experience:
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system.
Security and safety:
- Basic security clearance.
