Experimental Technician - 100% position

Due to increased activity and more tasks in our boar test, we are now looking for an engaged, efficient, and structured experimental technician for our team at Norsvin Delta. This is a newly created position that will strengthen the capacity in the boar test and associated activities.

As an experimental technician, you will become part of the team responsible for the daily tasks of the boar test, in addition to participating in various research projects. We are looking for you who enjoy working with animals, manage your time well, deliver high-quality work, and want to contribute to a professional environment in continuous development.

The Role

The work will mainly consist of:

Feeding and care of boars

Data registration in connection with the boar test and research projects

Sampling and handling of animals

Cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment, indoors and outdoors

Collaboration and coordination with colleagues in Norsvin

Desired Qualifications

Livestock vocational education at a minimum upper secondary level. Relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.

Knowledge of, and preferably experience from, practical pig production

Good Norwegian and English skills, both oral and written

Basic IT competence and an interest in learning and using new systems and digital tools

Driver's license class B and availability of your own car

Ability to find practical solutions and great technical interest

Due to strict requirements for infection protection at our facilities, the applicant must not have daily contact with cloven-hoofed animals.

The position is located at Norsvin Delta, Budorvegen 897, 2340 Løten.

Working hours will be from 07:30 to 15:30 on weekdays (15:00 during daylight saving time). The position also includes a rotation with weekend work every sixth weekend.
