Trofors is a relatively small place in the far south of Nordland county. We have unique nature and fantastic hiking, fishing, and hunting opportunities. The workplace is located just a stone's throw from Børgefjell Nasjonalpark. And the river Vefsna, which is one of the best watercourses in Norway for salmon and sea trout fishing, also flows through the municipality.

There are many opportunities if you are the type to engage in volunteer work outside of working hours. There is an active cultural life here, with opportunities in music, sports, and revue/theater. If you are interested in motors, we have a rally arena in the municipality, and in the winter, there is an extensive network of trails for snowmobile riding.

If you are the urban type, it is only a short half-hour drive to Mosjøen. The city in the middle of Norway.
