Project Planner for Prison Island AB
About Prison Island
Prison Island is an indoor adventure destination for everyone between 8 and 99 years old. It is about teamwork and cooperation to solve tricky cell challenges and collect points. Today there are 130 Prison Island facilities in 27 countries and we continue to grow. During 2026, we expect to build around 30 new facilities around the world.
With more and more projects, we also need to become more people who ensure that every establishment is planned and prepared in the smallest detail. Therefore, we are now looking for a project planner for our team in Västerås.
About the role
As a project planner, you will have a central role in our international projects. You will work with the planning and coordination ahead of our establishments and ensure that everything is in place when our project managers and installers are to begin work on-site.
This means holding many different parts together at the same time. Materials must be ordered and delivered, personnel must be planned, travel and accommodation must be booked, and the correct documentation must be in place. Since our facilities are built around the world, you also need to be able to familiarize yourself with new conditions and find out which rules and requirements apply in different markets.
Sometimes there is a clear way forward. Other times, you receive a question you have never encountered before and need to find the answer yourself. It is precisely that type of problem-solving that makes the role both varied and developing.
We believe you are
A person who likes order and structure and who has the ability to keep many balls in the air without losing the big picture. You like to stay one step ahead and see what needs to be done today so that everything is in place when the project starts.
At the same time, you are solution-oriented and proactive. You are comfortable picking up the phone, contacting a new person, and driving the matter forward.
You also thrive in a social and entrepreneurial environment where the pace is sometimes high, decision-making paths are short, and where everyone helps each other when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in project planning, project coordination, or similar work
- Good ability to plan, structure, and follow up on several activities simultaneously
- Experience working towards deadlines and clear schedules
- Very good English in speech and writing
Meritorious
- Experience of international projects or working in a global environment
- Experience from construction, installation, production, or other technical operations
- Technical understanding and interest
We place great importance on who you are as a person. You do not need to know everything from the start, as for us it is more important that you have the drive and curiosity to find out what you do not already know.
Why Prison Island?
To use a quote from our CEO: ”It is so grotesquely fun!”
With us, you will become part of a family-oriented and entrepreneurial company where a lot happens and where you get to be part of an international growth journey for real. One day you are planning a project in Europe and the next day you are solving the conditions for an establishment on the other side of the Atlantic.
We are an award-winning company in strong growth, but we are far from finished. Here there are great opportunities to develop, take responsibility, and influence how we work forward. We are also careful to have fun at work, where we socialize and ensure that work is more than just a job.
