Your tasks

About the position As a SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for both physical and virtual server infrastructure throughout its entire lifecycle, from engineering and implementation to operation, optimization, replacement, and decommissioning.

Your work will include, among other things:

• Server operation and administration: Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Virtualization and server lifecycle: Administration of VMware or equivalent virtualization platforms as well as server migrations, upgrades, patch management, and ongoing lifecycle management.
• Backup, recovery, and uptime: Backup and restore, disaster recovery, as well as high availability and failover in critical operating environments.
• Infrastructure and secure access: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, domain services, as well as solutions for secure and privileged access.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation: Performance and capacity monitoring, incident and root cause analysis, as well as documentation of server architecture, configurations, and technical changes.

You will also collaborate with internal specialists, control centers, and external vendors, and you may participate in audits and potentially an on-call function.

You will have the opportunity to work with business-critical infrastructure in a technically complex OT environment, where high availability, stability, security, and structured documentation are central elements.

Requirements

(Southern Denmark) Are you strong in server infrastructure, Windows/Linux, and virtualization, and do you have experience with OT environments or other business-critical systems? We are looking for an experienced SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer for our client in Southern Denmark, where you will play a central role in the operation, maintenance, and further development of the server infrastructure that supports critical SCADA and OT systems within renewable energy.

We would like to see that you have the following qualifications:

• Relevant technical education in IT, computer science, engineering, automation, or equivalent, alternatively solid practical experience with enterprise server infrastructure.
• Solid experience with Windows Server and Linux as well as operation and troubleshooting in complex server environments.
• Strong competencies in virtualization, preferably VMware, as well as experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, backup/restore, and patch management.
• Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, server migrations, and critical operating environments.
• Understanding of OT environments, industrial systems, or critical infrastructure, as well as the ability to document technical solutions and changes in a structured manner.
• Professional English at a technical level.

It is a significant advantage if you also have experience with technologies such as Veeam, Hyper-V, Citrix, Omnissa Horizon, BeyondTrust, Remote Desktop Services, Privileged Access Management, MFA, Splunk, Syslog, SolarWinds, or PowerShell.

Experience with SCADA, OT cybersecurity, wind energy, energy, or utility sectors will also be an advantage.
